      Akeanong Jangbua is currently Director at Food Innopolis, National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA). She is a member of team squad for policy and strategic planning who set up and run Food Innopolis since the beginning. She has over 20+ years of experience working in area of science and technology innovation management. Her main area of practice involves development of innovation ecosystem such as science parks, business incubator and accelerator, areas of innovation, as well as strategic development of tools and mechanisms to facilitate and support technological innovation.

      During October 2016 – February 2019, Akeanong served as Assistant Secretary General at National Science, Technology and Innovation Policy Office (STI) (now The Office of National Higher Education Science Research and Innovation Policy Council (NXPO)). She was also Chief Strategy and Operation Officer for Food Innopolis. It was during this time that national food innovation system has been systematically connected and integrated, business model of Food Innopolis has been realized and different service platforms were formulated.

      Prior to joining STI, during October 2014 to Sept 2016, Akeanong was on secondment from NSTDA to join the ministerial taskforce for country’s reformation of national science, technology and innovation system at the Office of Minister, Ministry of Science and Technology (now Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, MHESI). This is where Food Innopolis concept was originally devised as policy innovative and government measures to provide comprehensive innovation platform for Thai food industry and to become one of global food innovation hubs.

      In her early career, Akeanong has been working at NSTDA after she finished her postgraduate study as Industrial Technology Advisor (ITA), where she was responsible for facilitating technology transfer between enterprises and university/research institute. After five years of working she took study leave to pursue her MBA and Ph.D. in the field of technology and innovation management. After her Ph.D. study she returned to NSTDA and was assigned as Manager of Strategy and Collaboration at Thailand Science Park, NSTDA. In addition, during 2011-2014 she also worked with STI to formulate strategic masterplan for regional science park development framework.
